Where you walked

Writer: Daryl CapponDaryl Cappon

I had the opportunity to talk to an old friend of mine who just returned from a trip to the holy land.  He recalled with excitement how he walked or stood in so many places where Jesus had been.  I’ve never been to the holy land, but I started thinking about the places I have been over the last couple of years where I walked or stood in historical places… Boston… Washington DC… The Texas Book Depository.  These places where men had made their mark in history, both good and bad, will long be remembered.

My steps…

Where I have walked… how will they be remembered?  Will generations in the future, come to my office, my home, the places I have been and be inspired by being in the places of my life?  As you walk through your day today, remember… someone may someday follow your exact steps and be forever changed.  How will you be remembered?

Psalm 17:5  My steps have stayed on your path; I have not wavered from following you.

Psalm 37:23  The Lord directs the steps of the godly.  He delights in every detail of their lives

Psalm 119: 133  Guide my steps by your word, so I will not be overcome by evil.

1 John 1:7  If we walk in the light as God is in the light, then we have fellowship with each other, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, cleanses us from all sin.
